Optimal navigation performance for trucks and transporters. At the IFA in Berlin, Becker will present the first mobile navigation system with truck-specific route guidance. The high-quality navigation system with remote control, Becker OneShot voice control, map material for 41 countries and special truck attributes allows you to define profiles that are tailored to your vehicle and payload. Individual details on height, width, length, axle number, weight and payload can be saved which are then analysed in order to calculate the route. Impassable roads, tunnels and bridges are excluded depending on the profile data and possible, alternative routes are offered for selection in a map view so that you can choose the best route for you. Along the route, special Truck POIs are displayed to make the journey easier. NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns, TMC Pro and the option to block selected route sections offer you the best conditions in which to plan your optimal route and to arrive at your destination in the specified time and without stress. Again we have placed special emphasis on safety. In addition to the “Speed Limit” speed display, other traffic warning signs are displayed along the route. In this way you are forewarned of dangerous situations and can adjust your driving behaviour accordingly. For the first time, the scope of delivery also includes a 360° radio remote control that can be installed as required and used to control almost all of the navigation system’s functions, which will further contribute to safe driving. Please note: In order to be able to utilise Becker BestMaps, you must register your device online within 30 days of receiving the first GPS signal! This is how to do it: After you have started your Becker Traffic Assist Z 204 for the first time and received a GPS signal, you have 30 days in which to register your device. To do this, load Content Manager 2.0 on your PC and connect your navigation system to the PC using a USB cable. Next click on the “Register” button and create your personal user account under “Register now”. After registration, please enter your username and password and click on the “Register” button. Available updates and map data, both free and for a charge, are displayed under the “Maps & More” button and can be selected there for download. To ensure that you do not miss out on any of the free updates, we recommend that you connect your device regularly to the PC and start Content Manager 2.0.
